Dr. Russell Welch is a living testimony of the rescuing power of Jesus Christ, the restoring fire of Holy Spirit, and the unrelenting love of the Father. His life did not begin in ease, comfort, or religious polish. It began in the wreckage of brokenness, alcohol, divorce, instability, rejection, and abandonment.

From the ages of three to six, during the tender years when a child should be covered, nurtured, and protected, Russell was moved from state home to state home after the collapse of his family. Those early years became a battlefield where the enemy attempted to plant seeds of rejection, abandonment, the orphan spirit, and the lie of being discarded. But what hell marked for destruction, Heaven had already marked for redemption.

For nearly thirsty years, Russell lived on the wrong side of the law, moving through county jails, seasons of addiction, cycles of bondage, and even a period in state prison. His life carried the bruises of trauma, rebellion, broken identity, and spiritual captivity. Even after stepping into marriage and ministry, areas of bondage remained hidden beneath the surface, wrapped in religious language but still untouched by the deeper revelation of sonship.

Yet even before Russell fully understood the call of God upon his life, the Lord was already preparing him for assignment. From the early age of ten, he became a student of history, especially military battles, strategy, campaigns, and the movements of armies. What appeared to be a childhood fascination with warfare and history was, in truth, divine preparation. The Lord was training his mind to recognize patterns, discern conflict, understand strategy, and eventually teach the Body of Christ the art of spiritual warfare.

In 2007, Dr. Welch was baptized by his spiritual father, the late Dr. Don Lynch. Before he was submerged beneath the waters, Dr. Don prophesied that when he came up, he would receive an impartation from Heaven — a deep hunger and thirst for the Word of God and for His Kingdom. That prophetic word proved true. A holy fire was ignited in him that would mark the rest of his life.

In 2008, Dr. Welch began writing books and commentaries on the books of the Bible. Since then, he has spent thousands of hours studying the Old Testament, the New Testament, the writings of the early Church fathers, and ancient spiritual writings that, though not canonized by men, still carry the unmistakable whisper of Holy Spirit.

Then, in 2016, everything changed.

Through a radical, life-transforming, face-to-face encounter with the Lord Himself, Dr. Welch came into direct contact with the love, holiness, authority, and delivering power of Jesus Christ in a way that shattered every place where the spirit of religion had taken him hostage. That encounter did not merely improve his life; it demolished the prison of false identity. The orphan spirit was confronted. Rejection was uprooted. Religious striving was broken. The revelation of the Beloved Identity began to wash over his life until he no longer ministered from performance, pain, or survival, but from sonship, surrender, and union with Christ.

Today, Dr. Russell Welch stands as a best-selling author, apostolic teacher, shepherd, and watchman carrying a present-day message to the Holy Remnant of the Lord. His life declares that no pit is too deep, no prison too strong, no addiction too binding, no religious system too powerful, and no broken history too ruined for the King to redeem.

As the founder and leader of Remnant Warrior Ministries and Highway to Heaven Church, Dr. Welch carries a mandate to awaken, equip, and mobilize believers for the advancing Kingdom of God. In her local church, Emelie served faithfully on the worship team and as a teacher, but her deepest calling emerged in the hidden place of prayer. A divine encounter with students from the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry ignited a holy hunger in Emelie’s spirit. Though the path before her seemed impossible, the Lord spoke a life-altering word to her: “I will not take you over the mountain — I will make a way through it.”

In 2001, God fulfilled that word, bringing her to Pensacola, Florida, for a season of deep refinement, prophetic training, revival fire, and supernatural equipping. At B.R.S.M., the hunger that had been burning within her found language, impartation, and deeper formation. The Lord used that season to sharpen her prophetic sensitivity, deepen her consecration, and prepare her for the Kingdom assignment that was still unfolding.

During her second year at B.R.S.M., Emelie met Russell Welch, a fellow revival carrier and apostolic reformer. Their union in 2003 became more than a marriage; it became a divine covenant partnership marked by healing, prophetic worship, spiritual warfare, and Kingdom advancement.

Together, they have ministered across regions, raised up warriors, restored the broken, strengthened the weary, and released the sound of awakening. Their lives carry a shared burden to see the Ecclesia healed, equipped, delivered, and restored to the government of Holy Spirit.
