Who we are
From the start
Remnant Warrior MInistries A.K.A. Mighty Arm Ministries was established in 2005 by Pastor Russ Welch and his wife Millette Welch. It was birthed through a vision and call of the Lord to take His Gospel Message to the lost, to be a beacon of His Truth to light the path of salvation (total liberation) to those imprisoned in the realms of darkness. In 2021 the Lord started speaking to Russ about the Remnant and the urgent hour the world is in. He showed him that between 2019 and 2021 there was a powerful spiritual shift as the world transitioned from the "Age of Grace" into the "Age of the Kingdom".
In mid-summer of this year, 2022, Holy Ghost began turning our focus onto training up the Remnant in our sphere, and with that was birthed the name via the Holy Spirit's revelation of "Remnant Warrior Ministries" as our assignment as a couple and in light of our call as to partnering with Holy Spirit, we have gone ahead with the name change.
We started off ministering in senior citizen communities, hospitals, and jails. Then the ministry door opened to reach the homeless on the streets and those in the local juvenile detention center. Then in 2006, after having a vision from the Lord, we formed an online ministry school “Rushing Mighty Wind School of Ministry” which grew into two stationary schools, one in India and one in the Philippines. By the end of 2016, we had graduated close to 4000 students who then were commissioned into the ministry, in 2023 the Lord called us to change the name of the school to Remnant Warrior School of Spiritual Warfare..

Increase in the Supernatural
Since the beginning of 2015, we have seen God move with powerful demonstrations of His power in the area of signs, miracles, and wonders.
A Spiritual Shift
The co-laboring partnerships with fellow Kingdom-minded ministries are a must in this New Season, as we can see the era of the spotlight being on that of individuals (one-man shows) and the “kingdoms” they build have in many ways come to a place of mere religion. A spiritual graveyard of man’s attempts to create only what the Spirit can. In this hour, the necessity to no longer be separated by walls of doctrinal opinions and denominational hard lines is evident. Let us settle on one doctrine, that being the doctrine (teaching) of Jesus Christ. The time has come for the remnant scattered abroad to become Spiritually fused, connected via the unity of His love, that the Glory of His Bride may shine in these last hours.
The building of a Kingdom discipleship community
In 2016, after hearing a message about HUBs of Kingdom light, the Lord began sharing His vision for a discipleship community with a 3-year discipleship ministry focused on discipling men & women coming from the streets, the life of addictions and prison based on 25 -100 acres of wooded & farmland. This discipleship ministry will help disciple & equip men to birth the culture of Heaven wherever the Lord sends them. This vision of the Lord is still in the prayer process, even though Russ first received it some 40 years ago. As we wait for the land to be donated and then to build the necessary structures for housing, fellowship, and training in both ministry and trades such as carpentry, culinary arts, agriculture, and other trades. It will also be a farm where crops and livestock are raised to both feed the community and sell to the public. Several ministries focus on ministering to the least of these, the terminally ill, healing & deliverance, and ministering to our veterans.
In this time of transitioning, we continue to seek the Spirit as we have taken a deep breath realizing the magnitude of the Father’s desire about expanding the reach and mandate of this ministry.
CURRENT MINISTRY
At one time for several years, Russ served as an associate pastor for a local congregation, Highway To Heaven Church. In the summer of 2016, he resigned from that position to launch another ministry called "RiverHouse" as well as the "North Florida Healing Rooms". He would often fill in for Pastor Chet Hardin at HTH when he was away. In 2021 he started ministering there 2 to 3 times per month and then coming into 2022 he has taken the position of co-pastor. This has entailed him assuming the role of being in the lead position in the pulpit ministry, for which he is now preaching every Sunday.
As we are continuing the transition out of the Grace Age into the Kingdom Age we have sensed a change in our assignment as a whole with the new era we are stepping into, with that change of assignment, we have felt led by Holy Spirit to also change the name of this ministry. We prayed and believe that it is from the Lord, that we do indeed establish a new addition to Mighty Arm Ministries, thus we are launching Remnant Warrior Ministries in 2022, which brings with it, a major shift in focus to be a ministry that disciples mountain moving disciples for our King and His Kingdom.
One of the mandates we feel the Lord has giving us is to partner with other ministries and business in order to put an end to veteran homelessness via communities of tiny houses and other housing and community options. They have served our nation with honor, and as a nation we must honor them. The Church is and should be one the Lord's most powerful voices for our veterans.
